John Hill grew up in Chicago, and began playing guitar, piano, and drums at the young age of seven. Soon after he began classical training in Opera. Hill has performed notable solos alongside jazz musician Lucius Bell Jr, for Chicago's Mayor Daley at the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Service, and singing The Star-Spangled Banner for President Bill Clinton. He attended Wright College where he wrote skits and parodies. There he became a radio personality, Mancow.
